In the third quarter of 2022, Germany's top navigation and maps applications experienced a range of performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data provided by Sensor Tower.

Google Maps maintained high weekly download numbers, peaking at approximately 189K in mid-July before gradually declining to around 58K by the end of September. Active users showed a slight decrease from 10.5M in late June to 10.1M by the end of September.

Blitzer.de demonstrated strong weekly revenue, starting at about $42K in late June and experiencing a peak of approximately $58K in early August. Weekly downloads saw a steady decline from around 33K in late June to 29K by the end of September. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around the 240K mark throughout the quarter.

Google Earth had consistent download numbers, ranging from 30K in late June to about 26K in late September. Active users saw a peak of approximately 351K in late July, followed by a gradual decline to around 291K by the end of September.

TomTom GO Navigation generated significant weekly revenue, with figures starting at around $56K in late June, peaking at approximately $63K in late August, and then dropping to about $47K by the end of September. Weekly downloads showed a similar trend, peaking at around 24K in late July before declining to approximately 11K by late September. Active users peaked at around 57K in mid-August and gradually declined to about 47K by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic had steady weekly download numbers, fluctuating between 14K and 22K throughout the quarter. Active users peaked at approximately 653K in early August and experienced a gradual decline to around 566K by the end of September.
